With the raging success of our last course in Townsville, we have been approached to conduct another course in Townsville, on the 1st and 2nd October we will once again be bringing our unique and highly sought after course to Northern Queensland. Working again with the North Queensland Wildlife group we will offer 2 days of instruction and tuition with some of Australia's top snake catchers and highly experienced handlers. Costing $600 for the weekend some people think this is expensive (it is compared to other ONE day courses) but remember, this costs includes lunch both days and with us you get 2 full days of training, with a wide variety of reptiles (NOT JUST SNAKES), you get a whole day of handling animals using a variety of techniques (most Queensland courses will only teach one or two techniques, we teach 6 different techniques that can be combined in many different ways). The biggest factor, we are a Nationally Accredited Training course, this means you have a guarantee that our course not only gets accepted all around Australia, but also you have trainers that are adhering to 12 National Standards in Education and Training, our trainers have the Cert IV in Workplace Assessment and Training and we must also ensure a strong component in Health and Safety. Also note that under Section 8 of your DMP application, it asks for a certificate demonstrating your competency, these can only be handed out by Nationally Accredited courses.....without this (technically) you will also need to get a Statutory Declaration of your experience in handling venomous snakes along with your certificate of attendance from the company you trained with.
