Private Practical Handling Course

The Private Practical Handling Course is the capstone component of our Reptile and Venomous Snake Control certification program. This intensive, hands-on assessment is delivered in a personalized one-on-one format, tailored to your experience level. 

Over 8–10 hours at our Springvale facility, you'll master essential field techniques including snake identification, safe handling of pythons, colubrids, monitors, and a minimum of eight venomous species, plus advanced methods such as tubing and trap release procedures. This course is exclusively for participants aged 18+ who have completed the Online Theory component (additional fee: $275).

Those pursuing refresher or advanced credentials must hold a current certificate from a Nationally Accredited Training Course in Reptile and Snake Handling. Participants should wear long, loose-fitting pants, a long-sleeve shirt, and fully enclosed sturdy footwear. Bring your theory completion certificate, writing materials, and personal provisions; kitchen facilities and nearby shops are available.
