Private Practical Handling Course
The private practical handling session and assessment for the Reptile and Venomous snake control course can only be undertaken once the theory is complete. We can tailor this course to suit your needs, such as advanced handling techniques, tubing, pinning and release from traps used in surveys.
This is a small group of 2 people maximum, this can be a friend, colleague or someone you've never met before, it all depends on what you book. There are only 2 places available on each available day, if you want the course just to yourself, you can contact us and we will block it out. The course will always run for a single person.
Please ensure that you bring along your certificate of completion, for people doing refresher training you will need to bring along your certificate from a Nationally Accredited Training Course in Reptile and Snake Handling. It is essential that you bring along this certificate along with appropriate clothing for working with venomous snakes, this includes long loose fitting pants, long sleeve shirt and solid fully enclosed shoes (workbooks and solid hiking boots for example). Please also bring a pen and paper, drinks for the day (water, tea and coffee is available), snacks and lunch, we are close to local shops and we also have a fridge and microwave available
The day will cover a practical session in the identification of snakes along with handling lizards, monitors, pythons, colubrids and at least 8 different venomous snakes!!
You must be over 18 to complete the practical handling.
Course duration is 8-10 hours depending on the people we are working with.
This course is only available at our Springvale office, the address and details of what you need to bring are provided in a document which you will receive on purchase.
You must complete the online theory course prior to entry into the practical day. This is an additional course fee of $275
