Private Practical Handling Course
The private practical handling session and assessment for the Reptile and Venomous Snake Control course can only be completed after finishing the theory component.
This session serves as the final step of the venomous snake handling course in a one-on-one format or can be customized for those with prior experience, focusing on advanced techniques such as tubing, pinning, and releasing snakes from survey traps.
The session accommodates a maximum of two participants—either a friend, colleague, or another participant—depending on your booking choice. Only two spots are available per day; if you prefer a private session, please contact us to reserve a single booking.
The course duration ranges from 8 to 10 hours and is held exclusively at our Springvale office. Participants must bring their theory completion certificate, and those undertaking refresher or advanced training need a certificate from a Nationally Accredited Training Course in Reptile and Snake Handling.
Appropriate attire is mandatory, including long, loose-fitting pants, a long-sleeve shirt, and fully enclosed sturdy shoes (such as work boots or hiking boots).
Please bring writing materials, beverages (water, tea, coffee provided), snacks, and lunch. Facilities including a fridge and microwave are available, with shops nearby.
The practical session includes snake identification and handling of lizards, monitors, pythons, colubrids, and at least eight different venomous snakes. Participants must be over 18 to attend. Detailed information and requirements will be provided upon purchase.
