Reptile and Venomous Snake Handling
22652VIC Course in Reptile and Venomous Snake Handling
Welcome to our training course in Reptile and Venomous Snake Control. This course contains two seperate parts that must be completed for first time course attendees, the online theory and the face to face practical training where we will cover the skills of identification of reptiles as well as the practical handling skills for a variety of reptiles. The course covers all the same materials as a face to face course, however it can be done in the comfort of your own home and can be completed over a few evenings rather than one single sessions.
Units covered:
VU23618 Provide information on the behaviour of reptiles in human habitats
VU23619 Comply with legislative and WHS requirements for venomous snake catching and release
VU23620 Provide initial first aid for snake bites
VU23621 Identify snakes and reptiles
VU23622 Handle reptiles
The cost of the online theory training is $275. (Plus the cost of the practical work, which is dependent on the location of the practical day, ranges from $275-$675)
We will require you to print off your certificate of completion for the theory units and bring it to your practical assessment day. This is also required in Queensland as evidence of completing the theoretical knowledge and forms one of the three documents required for obtaining a DMP, the other two being the certificate from our practical training and a first aid certificate.
Enrolment is valid for 90 days from date of purchase
